It certainly saves money, but it’s nice to have a little more accountability. If your husband is practicing and making progress, wouldn’t that spur you to compete, just a little bit? And parents, you’ll be surprised how quickly your kids learn in comparison. However, this isn’t about comparing; it’s about learning together, having help with lessons at home, and eventually making music together.
I accept kids as young as 8 on the family plan. This works best if everyone is a beginner or near beginner. It can’t last forever, though, because differing talents and interests emerge, which is always good. But, it’s a great way to start.
